Coffee and Company

It is beautiful time here in the Smoky Mountains.  There are so many shades of green it is breath taking.  We just got in a new pallet of green beans including a new Fair Trade Organic Colombian.  Roasted some of it yesterday and will get it cupped, tweaked and hopefully add it on line and on our shelves.

It has been crazy for us this past month with the birth of my second grand daughter Emma-Leigh.  Annabelle the first also celebrated her second birthday.  Chelsea is doing well and should be back to work in a couple of weeks with Emma in toe.

There are a lot of great flavors out there however; some are only available at certain times of the year for a very limited time.  We too have seasonal flavors such as Hawaiian Hazelnut, Holiday Traditions, Vermont Maple etc.  Because of availability and in order to preserve freshness we offer different flavors at specific times of the year.  Spring and summer the flavors of berries, coconut.  The fall and winter maples, cinnamon, nuts and spices do better.  My best example is typically speaking you wouldn’t want Pumpkin in July!

Hey guys;  Check out our new seasonal flavors we have a few return flavors and the new ones are Rum Raspberry and Macadamia Nut Cream.  I brought back the Emerald Creme which was new last year…it is very good.

Don’t mistake Pride of the Smokies with our straights and blends….you would not be happy.  Le Conte View was the first blend I successfully came up with….it still is a personal favorite.  Smoky Mountain Mist is a newer blend that is very nice…not quite as bold or big bodied and not as much acidity as our Le Conte View.

Hey guys;  Thank-you for your feed back.  Pride of the Smokies was a coffee the previous owner had the savvy to Trademark the name.  It is a flavor for sure.  It took a bit of time but I finally got it knocked off so it is freshly roasted and flavored by the Coffee & Company roasting and flavoring team!  We sell the heck out of it most of it repeat customers…..so there you have it.

All of the Holiday flavors are in.  Holiday Traditions, Smoky Mountain Christmas, Cranberry Creme Brulee, White Christmas, Egg Nog Winterspice and Merry Mocha Mint….just to name the big annual favorites.  We know how certain scents and tastes become a memory of joyful times with friends and family.  Enjoy from our house to yours.

Yes; Jon it is still available.  It is a newer blend I came up with this summer and typically try blends out in the store to see if it will make the grade.  It is doing well both by the pound and as our Coffee of The Day!  Thank-you for bringing this to my attention.  I will get it on the website right away.
